ALL WINNERS SUBJECT TO POLYGRAPH EXAMINATION
TIE BREAKER RULES ARE CLEARLY DEFINED UNDER EACH TOURNAMENT AWARDS CATEGORY.
TOURNAMENT CHAMPION, TOP BOAT, TOP CAPTAIN and TOP MATE AWARDS
Awarded to the angler/boat who weighs in the largest Blue Marlin (which meets minimum length standards) in the Tournament. IN THE EVENT NO LEGAL BLUE MARLIN ARE WEIGHED IN, THE CATCH & RELEASE CHAMPION WILL BE DECLARED TOURNAMENT CHAMPION. The winner of this tournament will receive an invitation to fish the IGFA Offshore World Championship.
CATCH & RELEASE CHAMPION
Awarded to the angler who achieves the highest amount of Catch & Release points for caught and released Blue Marlin, White Marlin or Sailfish. In the event of a tie, the angler who achieves the total amount of points earliest with confirmed times will be awarded Catch & Release Champion. Line Bonus Points apply in the calculation of total points. Second and Third places will also be awarded.
TOP CATCH & RELEASE BOAT
Awarded to the boat that achieves the highest amount of Catch & Release points for caught and released Blue Marlin, White Marlin or Sailfish. In the event of a tie, the boat that achieves the total amount of points earliest with confirmed times will be awarded Top Catch & Release Boat. Line Bonus Points apply in the calculation of total points. Second and Third places will also be awarded. Catch and release fish entered in this category do not have to be caught by the same angler.
TOP SMALL BOAT CATCH & RELEASE (32’ and under) and all boats powered by outboards
Based on the same rules as Top Catch & Release Boat. Must be entered as a small boat. (1st Place Only)
TOP LADY ANGLER AWARD
Awarded to the Lady Angler weighing the heaviest Meatfish (Wahoo, Dolphin, Yellofin, Bigeye or Blackfin Tuna). Minimum weights apply.
TOP JUNIOR ANGLER AWARD
Awarded to the Junior Angler weighing the heaviest Meatfish (Wahoo, Dolphin, Yellofin, Bigeye or Blackfin Tuna). Minimum weights apply.
BLUE MARLIN
1st place prize money and 2nd & 3rd awards for Blue Marlin brought to the dock that meet eligibility requirements as stated in Tournament Rules.
TUNA, DOLPHIN & WAHOO
1st, 2nd, 3rd place prize money will be awarded for fish in these categories that are weighed in edible condition.
SWORDFISH
1st, 2nd & 3rd awards for Swordfish brought to the dock that meet eligiblity requirements as stated in Tournament Rules.
2012 ENTRY
One entry from the 2012 entries will be drawn for a “Certificate of Entry” to the 2013 Pensacola International. Limit 4 anglers. Drawing will be held during the Awards Ceremony and winner must be present to win.
PAYOUT IS BASED ON A 70 BOAT MINIMUM

CASH AWARDS
Cash Awards are a voluntary entry for additional potential payout from tournament competition. Cash Awards are not included in the Tournament Entry Fee. Entry into Cash Awards is not required in order to be eligible for other Tournament Awards. However, you must be registered in the Tournament to be eligible for the Cash Awards Division. Entry in the Cash Awards Division is limited to your own boat. You may not enter in Cash Awards for other boats that have not elected to participate in Cash Awards. To participate in each Cash Awards Division, the dollar amount of the category must be paid in full on the night of the respective Captain’s Meeting. Only CASH, CERTIFIED CASHIERS CHECK, MASTERCARD, VISA OR AMERICAN EXPRESS will be accepted for payment. (There is a 3% Service Fee for credit card payments.) PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT be accepted for Cash Awards entry. Total monies received in Blue Marlin, individual Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo and Tag & Release categories will be split on the following payout scale. If 10 boats or more are entered in a category split will be 50%, 30%, 20%. If there are between 6 and 9 boats entered in any given category, the split will be 60%, 40%. If 5 boats or less, the winner take all. In the event there are no winner in a category, 90% of the full amount for the category will be refunded. If there are two winners, the 90% will be split 60%, 40%.
The Blue Marlin categories require that the minimum requirements of 104” (LJFL) be met to be eligible for Cash Awards payout.
The INCLUSIVE Dolphin/Wahoo/Tuna categories will be split 30%, 30%, 30% between the top three winners of each category.
Catch & Release entries require color video confirmation. Verification must be made as to the actual tagging of the fish, clearly defined species, the tournament designator provided at the Captain’s Meeting and the angler. LINE BONUS POINTS DO NOT APPLY for Catch & Release Cash Awards. In the event of a tie with multiple fish caught and released, the first boat to achieve the total points is awarded. In the event of a tie with single fish, the first confirmed catch is awarded. In the event a Committee Boat is not reached for confirmation, a Tournament Headquarters confirmaion will be given upon radio contact or arrival at the Tournament Weigh Scale. Base points for Catch & Release are as follows:

Will be based on the following point system & highest total accumulated points:
Blue Marlin Killed (within tournament minimum length) – 1 point per pound
Catch & Release Blue Marlin – 300 points
Catch & Release White Marlin or Sailfish – 100 points
Dolphin (1 per boat) – 1 point per pound
Tuna (1 per boat) – 1 point per pound
Wahoo (1 per boat) – 1 point per pound
